SchoolNet FTP site strives to include the following for the benefit of all Schools in Sri Lanka.
- Free and Open Source software programs in both binary and source format.
- IT Teaching and Learning Materials provided by organizations like Microsoft
- Software developed by Teachers and Students under Innovative Teacher and Student Competitions
- Computer Assisted Learning Materials
The primary objective of the site is to allow SchoolNet and other permitted users to download the required files in the smoothest possible manner.
Having the FTP server hosted in Sri Lanka would defintely allow faster download speeds for the local users.
Access Restrictons:
Please note that access to this site might be denied to users who are coming from outside SchoolNet or LEARN connected site, if there is too much demand. This is done to minimize the load on the server. If your IP is not in the permitted range and still wants to access the site for educational purposes, we can consider giving temporary access. Please send an email to admin at schoolnet dot lk giving reasons for access.
